I have a pair of storage-damaged Dynaudio BM6As that I needed to figure out what to do with. They still worked fine (impressive for 24 years with neglect), but the drivers had water damage beyond repair.
A friend of mine uses them too, so salvaging the amps for spares seemed a nice way to keep their spirit alive and not waste things.
I’m no expert, but these things seem pretty well put together and definitely easy to service. A few hex bolts get you the electronics at the back or drivers at the front.
The wiring is sealed where it passes through the internal baffles. The amps are totally self-contained and only use thru-hole components. The whole unit seems to have been assembled with a lot of care and attention.
This probably explains why the three pairs I’ve had been rock solid, and never gave any problems despite a tough life!
